This is supported by funding from the National Olympic Committee. The establishment of this very critical initiative to develop our youth is propagated under the doctrine of introducing the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect,” he added.He said the Dominica Olympic Committee is very concerned about the development of youths and athletes on the island.“In particular we are positive about this program and more so our international funding partners who are very excited about the innovative aspect and success of the initial program,” he said.Meantime President of the National Youth Council Fernella Wenham says the program will ensure that Dominica’s youth are well rounded.“As we are aware, our children and youth need guidance and role model mentorship that will allow for the development of the younger person, thus creating better adults and senior citizens,” she added.Several young persons in and around the country attended the official launching.Dominica Vibes Newslast_img read more
