Pastor pleads not guilty to molestation

first_imgWHITTIER – An associate pastor at Whittier Seventh-day Adventist Church pleaded not guilty Friday to molesting a 9-year-old girl. Prosecutors charged Misael Blanco Sarsoza, 56, of West Covina with a felony count of committing a lewd or lascivious act upon a child under 14. Whittier Court Commissioner Loren DiFrank informed Sarsoza there is a protective order in the case, meaning he must stay away from the victim and must not dissuade witnesses. The girl’s grandparents reported the alleged abuse to Whittier police, who arrested Sarsoza on April 5, the complaint states.
