(Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty Images)If you’re planning on seeing the Georgia-Notre Dame game next season it looks like you’re going to have to shell out a lot of cash to go. The ticket prices are exorbitant for a regular season game. The latest prices on VividSeats show that a single-entry ticket to the game at Sanford Stadium next year will run for $500. And that’s before any potential taxes and shipping costs. It should come as little surprise though. When the two sides faced off in 2017, the average ticket price was upwards of $600 per ticket. Also not surprisingly: this is Georgia’s most expensive home game for 2019. $638: Current average price paid on StubHub for a ticket to this weekend’s Notre Dame-Georgia game.— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) September 7, 2017The two teams have played each other only twice before: In the 2017 regular season, and in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day in 1981. Georgia won both games. It’s going to be a huge game for both sides that could ultimately be a College Football Playoff elimination game.Notre Dame would have a very difficult path to the CFP without an undefeated record, while Georgia could find themselves in a dog-race for the SEC East title.Combine all of that with the fact that Georgia and Notre Dame are simply two of the best programs in the history of college football, and the game becomes one of the most compelling in the country outside of an annual rivalry game.
